Our Mission
The mission of the Noosa Prostate Association (NPA) is to promote awareness, regular testing, early diagnosis and treatment, and to raise funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA).
Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in men in Australia.

An estimated 250,000 Australian men are living with prostate cancer
More than 3,700 men die of prostate cancer in Australia each year.
More men die of prostate cancer than women die of breast cancer
The rate of prostate cancer in men by the age of 75 is 1 in 7
By the age of 85 this increases to 1 in 6
Every man should understand the importance of talking to his doctor about testing for prostate cancer from the age of 50, or 40 if there is a family history of prostate cancer.
About the Noosa Prostate Association
The Noosa Prostate Association is an unincorporated association, formed in 2017, as a local community-based association to promote awareness of and testing for prostate cancer, and to raise funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA). All donations raised by the NPA are paid to the PCFA, and donations through our website are encouraged.
The Noosa Prostate Association (ABN: 70 260 549 048 , TFN: 570 079 284) is registered as a charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission, and is endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office to access tax concessions including as a Deductible Gift Recipient.

The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA) is a broad-based community organisation and it is the peak national body for prostate cancer in Australia. It is dedicated to reducing the impact of prostate cancer in Australian men, their partners and families, whilst recognising the diversity of the Australian Community.
